Affiliate Disclosure

How we make money and why it doesn’t affect our recommendations.

Last updated: May 2025

Okanagan Travel Guide (okanagantravel.ca) is an independent travel guide. We cover our costs and keep this site free through affiliate marketing partnerships. This page explains exactly how that works.

What Are Affiliate Links?

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase or booking, we may earn a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you. In fact, you often get the same price (or better) as booking directly.

Our Affiliate Partners

We currently have affiliate relationships with the following companies:

We may also occasionally work with local South Okanagan businesses on a referral basis. Any such arrangement will be clearly noted in the relevant content.

Amazon Associates Disclosure

Okanagan Travel Guide is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.ca.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Our Editorial Commitment

Affiliate relationships never influence our recommendations. We only recommend places, tours, and products we genuinely believe are worth your money. If a hotel is overpriced, we’ll say so. If a winery tour isn’t worth it, we won’t suggest it regardless of whether we earn a commission.

Our goal is to be the most trusted independent guide to the South Okanagan. That trust matters more to us than any commission.

Sponsored Content

If we ever publish sponsored content (paid partnerships with tourism boards or businesses), it will be clearly labelled as "Sponsored" or "In Partnership With" at the top of that post.
